Heart of the Matter 7

Blair was in the kitchen, munching her breakfast cereal when Jason came on his boxers. She looked at him. Although she looked distressed, probably because of what happened last night, her mind was wandering as she watched his abs crying out loud. He was very lean. He regularly visits the gym three times a week. He works out to keep his body fit.

He went to the fridge to get a box of milk. He also got a glass inside the cabinet right above the kitchen divider. He poured some in his glass.

“I am sorry about last night,” Blair broke the silence.

Jason went up to her and patted her head. He looked at her and smiled. He cupped her face with both hands and spoke.

“It’s okay. You don’t really have to apologize. It was my fault,” he told her and gave her a soft kiss on her forehead. “You’re still my little princess anyway.”

She smiled bitterly. Don’t treat me like a child, Jason. I am not a kid anymore, her mind protested.

“I felt like I embarrassed her,” she said softly.

“Well, she was embarrassed with what happened, but it was alright. And I already told you, she wanted to make it up with you. She wants to know you more.”

“Okay,” she just said.

“So stop feeling the guilt alright?” he lightly pinched her chin.

“Where did you sleep last night?” she asked.

“I used Kevin’s room. He won’t be back until next week,” he said, pertaining to his older brother, who went out-of-town for a surfboarding competition.

“I see. Well, I need to get going. I still have to meet Cynthia for our book report. Thanks for the breakfast!” she said.

“Alright. Take care little princess!” he said.

“I’m not a kid anymore,” she protested. “Just tell your mom thanks for the dinner last night, as well as for the breakfast.” She gave him a kiss on the cheek.

“Sweet!” he chuckled.

“Yeah? Look at your boxers. You’re fully aroused,” she turned her back and let out a boisterous laughter.

Yeah, right! He thought.
