Jason looked at his wristwatch. It's 30 minutes past 8PM. He took a sip of the red wine in his glass. Suddenly, he caught sight of a woman in a red velvet tube dress. It was a perfect fit for her. He flashed a smile as she walk towards him.
"I'm sorry, I was late. Did I make you wait that long?" Elizabeth said as she laid her black Gucci purse on the table.
"No. Not really," he said, although his mind protested with what he just said and wanted to reproach her for making him wait awhile. If there's one thing he doesn't want to happen, it's when he had to wait for quite awhile for someone. He's very particular with time. He doesn't want to waste minutes, not even seconds, but only Blair knows that. Elizabeth is not Blair, so he'd let it slip this time.
He stood up and grabbed a chair for Elizabeth. He then gave the bouquet of flowers to her.
"Thank you," she said.
Jason went back to his chair and handed the menu to Elizabeth.
"What would you like to have?" he asked her.
"Anything," she said.
That's also one thing he doesn't want, which Blair knew. But then again, she's not Blair, so he had to let it slip for the second time.
"Okay. I'll order for us then," he looked at the menu and browsed on what to eat. "How would you like Caribbean Flank Steak with Coconut Rice?"
"Is that good?" she asked him.
"Yeah. It's one of their bests here. I think we should have this so you would know if it's good or not," he flashed her his killer smile and called for the food server. He gave him their order. The food server got their orders, poured wine in their glasses, and left.
"You look gorgeous tonight. Thanks for coming," he said. Jason is good with compliments. It's one of the things that attracts girls the most, his wits.
"Thank you for the compliment," she took a sip from her wine glass. "I couldn't resist an invitation from a wonderful guy like you." She smiled sheepishly, quite inviting.
